TRA LA LA LA LAAAAAAAAAAA (yes yes, im a tad on the happy side!)

 

So - whats making me all sing song annoyingly chipper you may ask? well... this is my last week of work with my current company - I'm so excited to be starting a new job with fresh challenges and a new product and new people (closer to home and for more money of course!) Sure I will miss the people I have worked with for three years, and my clients, who have almost become friends the way we all interact, but if you stay in one place forever then you will mould! and I'm not so good with that, mould smells funny and of course I have clean issues. *scrub scrub scrub* Even better yet - I'm taking three weeks off between jobs, I need a break, and it's leave owed to me, so hell, why not? :) I won't be online really, I don't have a home PC, will be getting one at some point though! I think. eh... will see the new company will probably have laptops for us, or so they said to me :)

 

That aside, the band (the new one, saving insanity) has now got two originals and one cover song ~ so thats going brilliantly! Our pianist is going away for 4 months, but we are planning on using those months to write all the material we can, practice and get stuff down, so when she gets back it will be bringing her in and starting to gig! exciting stuff I tell ya!

 

Now here is the shocker. I am going camping.
I. hate. camping.
So close to nature (translated: dust and dirt and insects and shared ablution blocks. eeeew) in a small fabric tent - should I find one I can borrow that is) where there is no electricity, and have I mentioned the insects? I mean I am no fan of spiders and creepy crawlies, but there they will be. Good thing we are not camping somewhere more exotic like in a game park, cos while I can live with the insects I am not a huge fan of being woken by animals sniffing at the tent to determine whats edible inside. Welcome to Africa.

 

The power cuts have commenced again. we are on load shedding thre times a week, so basically every mon, wed and fri from 6am to 10am my flat has no power. Which doesnt really phase me, there is enough light for me to get up, have a bath and head to work, so no worries. Now that im gonna be on holiday for a few weeks, it might get really old really fast! *sigh* i will just have to get up and go to gym and hopefully by the time I am done I will have power again. I am sort of wondering what I will be doing with myself for three weeks (ok, so there is the 5 days of camping) but that aside... i have no idea! I know i will hit the gym everyday - but what else? I mean everyone will be working and there is only so much relaxing I can do before I go mad! Ah well, if push comes to shove I will have to start work a week early! (i know, im a nutter) but hell its an extra week of pay and prevents boredom. hmm - will think about it :)

 

well - regardless of how useless I am with blogging - i am going to get worse, sorry Donna, Kerrie and Nooner (my loyals - love you guys) but im goingto be without internet for the next three weeks, i will ocassionally use my moms and try to stay in touch, but im not promising anything!
