06 January eheheI went to kick boxing last night and half joking told one of the managers that I thought that I should get Jan free as December was only half a month and my MMA instructor is still away until next week. He gave it to me. **yay** It's good being me. ehehehe. 05 January aaaaand it's back to work!Is it sick and twisted that I am really happy to be back at work? Because sadly enough, I really am chuffed to be here. :) It just means life can get back to normal, kick boxing starts again tonight, which I can't wait for and I have work during the day, so I should manage to get back on a proper eating plan. I have dinner plans with a mate who I have not seen in FORVER on Friday, and drinks with another mate who has also been all reclusish on Sunday - yeah... about that eating plan. *sough* ;) So far - this new year thing is rocking!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MO! (for today) AND BELATED HAPPINESS TO DONNA (the 30th Dec) I hope you both have an excellent and wonderful year, filled with flowers and margarita’s! ehehe.
So - I want to buy a new car. Problem is I don't think I can afford to do that. I might have a bond to pay off this year for the first time. UGH - growing up bites! So what I need to do is make sure the band has a shit load of gigs - paid ones, and save up everything we make on those, on top of saving from my normal salary then hopefully, once I get a raise, or win the lotto - I can get me a Suzuki Sx4. Such awesome little cars, and makes sense purely from a band equipment point of view. (It's what I keep telling myself) so now its time to knuckle down and get the band big and famous! I need posters and shirts and all sorts of things to get the name out - it is my mission, wish me luck... somehow I think were going to be big!
xx 02 January 2009Well... it's here. I have to say, for all my bitching and complaining it sorta got here in quite a decent way ~ I enjoyed Christmas with my family and friends... immensely even. Maybe I should always do the whole bah humbug thing, just cos doing it this year worked so well for me.
On the 24th we went to my aunt and uncle for a Christmas Eve dinner, which was stunning!! now you have to understand that our family stopped being invited to the big family functions years ago, but this branch of the family is very cool (and can cook like no one’s business!!) we opened a present or two, gorged ourselves on wonderful food, laughed so hard we almost cried, and had one of the best Christmas eve's ever. It has been decided that this is now a tradition between the two families. :) Christmas day was VERY laid back. Both my sister and I stayed at our parents house the night before so we all got up earlyish, had some coffee, opened the presents (we went minimal this year) had a late breakfast of left over pate on biscuits (don't judge - this pate was so damn good I could have eaten it every day for the rest of the year dammit) chilled out reading our books, lazing by the pool, and only eventually got up when one of my dad's friends was due over at about 2pm. From there I went to a mates house who seemed to be having a full blown party - we drank (we were chugging down sneaky puff adders... they are awesome) and swam and partied and played board games and carried on like a bunch of loons - yeah... good times! I ended up crashing over because those sneaky puff adders are not conducive to driving. So in a nutshell - xmas rocked!! :D
The rest of the days before new years have been spent gymming my ass off (I want a 4-pack stomach!! grrr) then undoing the gymming by eating too well - cleaning flat, seeing friends - the same one's I was bitching about, seems the pulled their fingers out of their asses and decided to make an effort - working every day - only for an hour or two though and relaxing. I have played squash for the first time, which I enjoyed, so I will do it again - I have been climbing as well, which was so much fun I'm doing it again today (hold thumbs I don't fall off!!) and have met quite a few new people who are very cool!
New years was good - went out for lunch with mates, the service was shocking, the food was mediocre and thank god for the company otherwise I might have shot myself... or someone else :) From there I went to my parents house, and was thankful that the food at lunch was shite and I didn't eat that much of it as they had a pork roast on the Weber, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and green beans - so I filled up there, hung around, chatted, fixed computers etc and eventually dragged my ass to a house party for new years. There were all of 11 / 12 of us, so chilled is definitely the description!! I was home and in bed by 1:30am.
So 2009 huh? I can't wait for it to kick start properly, to get back to my kickboxing (this shall be my year to fight competitively) can't wait for all the boys to get back so the band can jam, write new material, start gigging and make it big ~ fame... I'm coming to get you!! as for love - who knows... could be a good year for me, might not be, provided the other two areas go well - I couldn't care less, I'm in a pretty good place at the moment.
Loves to you all me xx |
